The post regarding the photo of nva bodies being thrown onto the street was one of our most talked about posts of late. I find that the post brought out some quality discussion amongst us. I would however like to point out that for those that generally do not comment or even like most of our posts... that one sure did bring you out of the wood work. Once again, for those Americans commenting in the post and some part having a go at us for posting it.. the caption and description/opinion posted along with the image was in fact the opinion of an American Vietnam Veteran. It was not intended to destroy or blame the reputation of US veterans nor any veterans from any side of the fence. Now we could go on about But you werent there! all day... the fact that us COVVs are trying to understand what it was like during the war... is blatantly obvious that our respect for Vietnam Veterans which include our fathers etc... is so damn unmistakable its not funny. I as the founder and managing admin of this site have the utmost respect for all who fought in Vietnam. Whether or not it was for an unjust cause or not. Whether or not the reputation of VC , NVA , US , AUS , ARVN , KOREAN , CAMBODIAN forces etc were undeniably worse than others in any respect. Let us all not assume the worst of peoples opinions regarding any event that took place over there or at home for that matter. That is what you all fought for.. democracy. .. freedom to express your opinions, freedom to express yourself as an individual, freedom to roam, freedom to educate and be educated. Freedom to read, watch and listen... forming your own opinion or understanding of a time that most if not all of us COVVs are still trying to do to this very day. Let us educate eachother and refrain from casting out judgment or pointing the finger. Help us and let our future generations understand war and conflict for what it is... so we can move on believing that war is not what this world needs. It hasnt done us any good so far. PMP @COVV
