The press conference Monday at the MLK Memorial was the kickoff to the 1st phase of the RestoretheDream2014 initiative. From DC several of the players went to NYC, then N. Carolina yesterday to begin a bus tour that will end in Ferguson, MO this weekend. Id like to join them in Ferguson as its a place I/we *need* to be, but frankly Ive blown my travel budget for the month by about 600% already. Below are pics of Niger, Alveda & others at yesterdays on-the-street outreaches in Charlotte, NC. Folks, running slick tv ads wont do it. You cannot touch peoples hearts that way. There is only **ONE WAY** to do this, ...by getting out and burning some shoe leather. 1 person, 1 meeting, 1 small business, 1 barbershop, 1 church, 1 household at a time. There is no quick fix. This is a 50-year plan, & were in it to win it. If youre financially supporting this organization - so are you. Check that 2nd picture. Getting out into the black churches in our urban communities is a KEY. Engaging the community of faith, establishing relationships then working within the confines of those preexisting structures is a central part of our plan. And were out here doing it. Keep the faith, patriots.
