The pro-intervention propaganda is ramping up. No mention is ever made that the borders between countries in the middle east were negotiated and established by the allied nations who won the Second World War, the oil companies, and the future Israeli nationals. The borders of middle eastern nations were designed to make those countries ungovernable without help from allied nations and the oil companies. What would have naturally been Kurdistan was divided between three nations. Armenia was mostly wiped out. Borders were drawn to avoid any solely Sunni or Shia states. Maybe some naive person involved in that process really believed that with a diverse population in every country they would develop an American style democracy but the oil companies knew that it was all about making it easier to steal their oil. Actually Iran did develop a democracy and elected a man named Mohammad Mosaddegh who was a great admirer of the founders of the United States of America. It became clear that the democratically elected Mosaddegh intended to truly serve his people and not sell out to the oil companies so his government was overthrown in a coup détat orchestrated by the British MI6 and the American CIA who ushered in the brutal dictatorship of Mohammad Rezâ Šâh Pahlavi which lasted until the revolution in 1979. Our government has somehow learned nothing so the pro-intervention propaganda is ramping up again.
