The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) started to send his disciples around the world. One of them Wabr ibn Yohanas Al-Khozaee whom the prophet (peace be upon him) sent to Yemen (Sana’a). He was ordered to teach people of Sana and to build them a Mosque by features the prophet (peace be upon him) had he told him where to build it. Muslims are required to face mecca when they pray. So, the Prophet instructed him, ” ‘ if you build the mosque of Sana’a, make it to the right of a mountain called Deyn.” Now if we use Google earth to see, was the Prophet right about the direction he told his disciple. The distance between Mecca and Sanaa in Yemen is 700 miles. In this video Google Earth is used to show preciseness of the Prophets teachings. Please in mind, that one does not have to face mecca to align mecca 100%. We have to face Mecca in the general direction. Keeping this mind, there can be a difference of 2 or 3 miles between Mecca and Sanaa depending on the method used to calculate. However, no one can deny that is would be quite miraculous for anyone to give a direct line of sight information between two cities more then 700 miles apart without the use of the modern equipment. For the Prophet to have done this 1400 years ago is actually and truly quite amazing. youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=6fxiegsIsj0
