The question as to who gave the name Ramakrsna to Gadhar and when exactly he came to be known by that name has been debated for long. Since Raghuvir (Rama) was family deity of Khudiram and since the two elder brothers had the prefix ( Ram) to their names ( Ramkumar, Ramesvar), it is quite probable that Gadadhar also had been given a similar name (Ramakrsna). However, what baffles us is since when exactly he came to be known by this name.
