The second cake was such a fun cake to make! Its a mini two tier, topsy turvy cake. Its a 6 and 4 vanilla sponge cake filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream for Tracey who turned 50! Now, my nemesis in cakey world seems to be human figures but Im practicing and working on them. I was sent a picture of Tracey in her work uniform, and as he nod to her career without creating a set of sugar gnashers (she has worked in a dentist for 25 years!) thought itd be nice to have her in her uniform. Cue sweats of panic at the thought of a hooooman figure! But, its safe to say I impressed myself with the little lady I managed to create! Tracey also enjoys visiting Cornwall hence the turquoise/sea blue colour used on the cake. I love this cake and love the colour combination!
