The second half of mine an Caitlins Be More Specific 15-Movie Challenge: 15 Movies I love or watch frequently/repeatedly despite the fact that other people hate them, or think theyre stupid. (guilty-pleasures??) 1. Fargo 2. Dr. Seuss How THE GRINCH Stole Christmas (the live-action, Jim Carrey version - only around X-mas.) 3. Star Wars, 1-3 (theyre not perfect, but theyre still entertaining) 4. Vanilla Sky 5. Psycho (the 1998 re-make. YUP!!) 6. Disneys Pocahontas/The Hunchback of Notre Dame 7. Apparently, I like Daredevil as it seems I have 2 copies of it... 8. Hannibal (the Julianne Moore-as-Clarice Lector Movie — I also loved Red Dragon - but I think folks generally liked that one) 9. Pride and Prejudice (Kiera Knightly version) 10. Shanghai Noon/Knights (not necessarily hated by others, but a little dubious for me) 11. Rush Hour 1 & 2 (see no. 10) 12. Payback (Mel Gibson) 13. The 13th Warrior (Antonio Banderas) 14. War of the Worlds/A.I. Artificial Intelligence (Tom Cruise/Steven Spielberg) 15. The Island of Dr. Moreau (Marlon Brando version) So, there it is. Some arent that bad - (I actually left off a couple because I might be incorrectly perceiving public sensibilities of them) - also, the terms frequently or repeatedly are a bit deceptive, as I actually dont watch them all that often - but theyre in my collection, so there you go. Also - I was told quite a while ago how very little COMEDY there is in my collection - true - its not to say I dont like funny movies, but honestly, how many times can a joke really make you laugh... Especially when youre expecting it. Thats what she said. Discuss, hate, judge... Post a list of your own... Or dont. I dont care. :)
