The shortest day of the year has finally ended and here I am all excited because the days will be getting longer now. Imperceptible at first then day light savings time again and in the not too distant future Spring is waiting to cheer my heart. I have often wondered why I am one of those people so effected by sunlight and so prone to the blues when the Fall comes and the days get shorter. I have told myself a million different things about why I should embrace the Fall and how Winter is but a lull before the season of re-birth. I can try forever to convince myself but the plain truth is I love long days of bright sunshine and the beauty that is the warm weather. Im just that kind of guy. If I had my druthers, Id get on a plane and go to the southern hemisphere each year when the last Day of Summer ends and enter into a new world of Spring and Summer on some beach in Uruguay or Argentina but Obama has made me so much poorer than I ever was. Maybe the economy will get better even as the Spring approaches?
