The situation with comets and 67P in particular is that common to physics generally: if the theoretical dogma is not satisfied by experiment or observations then ignore the data and deny, deny, deny, just like a politician. The Rosetta spacecraft has shown conclusively that 67P is not a dirty snowball. Rather than admit this simple fact established by the evidence before their very eyes, the dirty snowballers ignore the facts and deny with the rhetoric of politicians. Such denial is due to only two possibilities: (1) blind faith in the dogma, or (2) realisation that the dogma is false so resort to deliberate deception to save the dogma, the reputations and social standings of its proponents, and the funding of related jobs and projects.
