The sum of some of the candidates policies and offerings are better than others, but they have largely taken for granted the support of younger voters to the point of nearly ignoring us. Some efforts have been made, sure, though there lacks resonant messaging and engagement that addresses the collective struggles of younger Mainers. I have heard this refrain from literally dozens of younger people too. Candidates make appeals to seniors, women, veterans and other specific blocs, but why not us? In the end, this neglect will have bitten the runner up in the ass.
