The systematic elimination of unborn babies with so called disabilities is eugenics plain and simple. The horror of the past is here with us today alive and well. It is appalling to me to see the spin put on this. You can call it whatever you want , but the end result is the same: Reducing reproduction of people with less-desired or undesired traits Too many people in our culture today, including too many doctors, have bought into this philosophy. We are a throw away society in the worst way. If it is not perfect we dont need it. Well I have news for those people : in all these years I have NEVER met a perfect person. We are all imperfect and needy and challenged. We all come with lots of problems, imperfections and undesirable traits, but we all have one thing in common: our inborn desire to love and to be loved. This is also what all these special needs children and their families need: our unconditional love and our support. Sadly we have a long way to go in our so called civilized society, but for as long as I live I will never stop advocating for these wonderful children.
