The transfer window has closed with no further activity at Molineux to that which was reported earlier. Wolves, who traditionally try and get all their business done ahead of the final flurries, have added young Wrexham striker Bradley Reid to the Development Squad, while allowing Georg Margreitter to join FC Copenhagen on a season-long loan and Jamie Reckord to move to Plymouth for three months. Speaking earlier today to Wolves Player, head Coach Kenny Jackett had confirmed there would be no additional signings, whilst the club have also held on to key figures Bakary Sako and Kevin Doyle, about whom there had been much speculation. And Jackett, who revealed his satisfaction at the summer’s business, is also planning to keep a close eye on the emergency loan market when it re-opens as he bids for further gradual improvement to the squad. “We have bought three players in which has been my choice,” said Jackett. “I have wanted to assess the group that we had, give some young players an opportunity and also some of the players who have been here quite a while an opportunity in a different regime, and with different players around them, the chance to try and bounce back at League One level. “Although it is early days signs have been good and results have been good and we want that to continue. “It is not always about strengthening at what time – sometimes it is necessary but you have to be very careful when you do that. “To quietly and consistently add when the spaces are there is a big thing right the way through the season whether that be in the transfer window or, if a hole appears in the team, with a loan. “And if that loan can be a player with a point to prove, and trying to earn a permanent contract, then that is my preferred choice. “While I am pleased with the squad it is an ongoing assessment from all of us to make sure that we are as strong as we possibly can and are ever-improving.” Sako had been left out of the weekend’s win at Port Vale after Jackett said he was not in the right frame of mind to figure given the interest in his services. But the Head Coach is confident the winger will now pick up from where he has left off this season by proving one of the team’s biggest threats. He added: “I have had good conversations with Sako – we have been very open and honest with each other. “He assured me that should the interest in him pass over he is 100 per cent committed to the club which is good news. “It is a long season and we are going to need a big and talented squad to get where we want to go.”
