The wait is almost over and the Corsair Cherry MX RGB Keyboards - TopicsExpress

The wait is almost over and the Corsair Cherry MX RGB Keyboards are coming soon! Here is a recap of what we announced at Computex. Back during CES, we announced and showed the amazing technology as a result of collaboration between Corsair Components and Cherry Corporation. Featuring a fully mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches, we one-upped the game and combined it with customizable RGB per-key backlighting. However, this was only a technology demo and we didn’t have actual specifications… …until now. Featuring “Corsair’s hallmark features: sleek design ultra-accurate components, and sturdy medal construction,” we showed at Computex the K70 variant (104-key) full size RGB keyboard and in addition, the newly announced K95 RGB, which is the existing K95 variant (104 key + 18 dedicated macro keys with 3 memory banks). Here are the official specifications for the K70 and newly announced K95 RGB: •100% Cherry MX RGB mechanical key switches for ultimate performance. •Multicolor per-key backlighting for virtually unlimited game customization. •Display controller driven fast and fluid 16.8M multicolor animation. •Aircraft-grade black anodized brushed aluminum for superior rigidity. •Entire keyboard is programmable to assign a macro to any key. •100% anti-ghosting with full key rollover on USB . • Onboard memory stores performance and lighting settings. •2 year warranty. •Available late August (K95) . •Available late July with Cherry MX RGB red switches (blue and brown switches available late August) (K70). •$169.99 (K70) $189.99 MSRP (K95). One of the biggest reasons why these keyboards will be some of the best gaming keyboards you’ll ever use is a result of the software. With every key being programmable for macro assignment, we are confident that these keyboards will fit the demands of gamers and enthusiasts alike. This of course is in addition to the incredible amount of lighting options To expand on what youre seeing, there is a light pattern already playing as the foreground (static keys are set to a specific color as the background) and each key press initiates a wave (set to white) that goes over the background. Youll be able to set the combination of colors in this pattern, the keys that the pattern effects, and how long/wide/tall/duration of the pattern. In short, your imagination is your only limitation. As we get closer to release, we will do a full blog on the functionality of the RGB lighting and what it can do in terms of customization for lighting and macro setup. There are MANY great things ahead. Hang in there! The wait will be worth it.
