The weight of the gun and the different gadgets being ferried by each Soldier took its toll as they trudged through the hot sun of the Maiduguri region.After the last battle with the insurgent which claimed the lives of Clarence, a close friend of Steve and many other colleagues in his Unit.He could only wish that He will make it through the next battle and the next.The Boko Haram guys must have help;he thought to himself.The kind of Gun and arsenals used against the Army and the way they seemed coordinated was a shocker to the Soldiers. Their order was to flush out the insurgent from the Forest just over the Hills and this they were resolute to do.They neared a bend and the sight before them almost made their hearts jumped out of their mouths.They ran for cover and couldnt move.Their thought was about the next line of action.(Run or take charge of this situation?) The unit commander made it easier for them..we stay and sort this out. Right before their eyes were a group of young boys between the ages of 2-3yrs who were throwing some round and metallic objects to each other.They had about four of such.Others were simply kicking it on the floor while one innocent Kid was trying to open it.What they had in their hands were GRENADES! Steves eyes almost popped out of their sockets! Where did they get this from?The carnage this will cause will level the whole village and adjourning communities together,causing innumerable deaths including theirs! That was not its PURPOSE!
