The wind picked up to 10mph just as I was coming in, so I turned - TopicsExpress

The wind picked up to 10mph just as I was coming in, so I turned around and went back out again. It got a bit hairy at times, the sail is vastly overpowered, and way too baggy. It picked up the wind and hurled me along. The hull was flexing, i could see the windward side concaved. the mast and partners were creaking, water was splashing up over the bow and hitting my face. A couple of times it dug into a wave, but moving into the rear windward corner got her up on a plane quite easily. I kept thinking about the 40degree water and me with no wetsuit, not to mention I have only float bags, so itll swamp. Getting back to shore was interesting, my landing site downwind and rocky shoals. Since there are no shrouds, the sails can be let fly all the way forward, which helped. Great fun overall, I just need to build a better hull and sail
