The year was 1988 & I was cool lol or at least I thought I was & I met this cute little girl at Skateland - we hit it off & as we said when we where kids - we started going together lol & the best part of us being boyfriend & girlfriend was that she lived pretty close to me so I could see her as often as I wanted to - she was mad cool - we had a lot in common , but one thing we differed on was our musical taste - I was all hip hop - Rakim,big daddy kane ,run dmc etc etc & she was more into rock & pop & her favorites was New kids on tthe block ughhh - I mean how corny can you get - New kids on the block - they suck - she had the posters & she even had a crush on them wack azz dudes - we used to argue/debate about if they was trash or not - I said yes & of course she said they was great - I hated them cornballs - i wouldnt be caught dead listening to no stinking new kids on the block - I was a tough guy & tough guys dont listen to that type of sh#% , but this tough guy (me) had a secret - when I would leave her crib & go home at night (always a very innocent visit - we was young so get your mind out the gutter) well anyway guess what I would be listening to when I got home - you guessed it - i would throw a little nkotb in the mix lol - I could never admit it to her or anyone else for that matter , but them little dudes could really sing & they had some hot joints - I was actually a closet fan - I mean I thought their image was corny as hell & a lot of boy bands are super lame & plus back then I was the little white black kid & I was fighting to be accepted - if I actually admitted I liked new kids music - surely I wouldve lost all my street cred I was fighting to obtain lol - well sadly in the end me & the young lady wasnt meant to be , but its cool we are friends to this day & now that Im grown & could give a damn about how people perceive me - Im free to listen to all the corny music that my heart desires & this song right here has always been my sh#% & I have no problem admitting it now lol - click play & check it out sukaaaazzz !!! #Gangsta #OldSchoolCrew e Dont Go Girl (Official Video) - New Kids …: youtu.be/dH3hqQP1bto
