Thefts from Cars - Bainsford/Carron/Carronshore About 1am this morning (Thursday 13th November) an alert resident in Cameron Place, Carron contacted police when they observed a suspicious man in the street paying attention to parked cars. Officers were quickly dispatched and traced a 38yr old man who was subsequently found with a number of items which were clearly not his. Further enquiry by local officers today established that this property has come from a number of unlocked cars parked in the Bainsford, Carron and Carronshore areas. The man has since been arrested and will be appearing at Falkirk Sheriff court tomorrow. Sgt Liam Harman from the Community Investigation Unit says We are still investigating these thefts. We still have some property which as yet we have been unable to trace the owner for. If you reside in these areas and have noticed any property missing from your car this morning can you please contact me on 101. We would like to remind residents to ensure your cars are locked and secure when parking them at night. Do not leave expensive items in your vehicle overnight. We would encourage anyone who observes someone acting suspiciously to phone police.
