Then what? What happens now? Who gets impeached? What bad policy gets reversed? Who gets tarred and feathered? Who gets run out of town on a rail? Who gets arrested? Who gets hung for treason? How does this make our lives any better? Im convinced that while theres still hope for local, and even state governments, we have lost the federal government. There are the occasional Trey Gowdies, and Ted Cruzes, but for the most part, DC is full of collectivist bastards whose only argument with each other is how fast Americas descent into Communism should be. I am convinced that at some point, our rulers (not leaders, but rulers) will succeed in completely devaluing the dollar and diminishing our status on the world stage. When that time comes, anyone depending on any level of government for anything is in serious trouble. Anyone not completely self-sufficient, and able to defend himself, his family, and his possessions is dead. Seeing things like this boils my blood, because, as outraged as Gowdy is, and as much as I agree with him, we all know that not a damn thing will come of this...or Benghazi...or Fast and Furious...or any of the other wildly seditious things going on in our places of power. And what do we do about it? Lets all put on American Flag top hats, listen to Lee Greenwood, and cheer RAH! RAH! RAH! TEA PARTY TEA PARTY RAH! RAH! RAH! And then, when the mid-terms and presidential elections come around again, well all vote about it. Well, we tried that remember? The 2012 mid-terms were a political bloodbath of historical proportions, yet here we are.
