"Then your HEARTS became hardened after that, being like STONES or EVEN HARDER!! For indeed, - there are stones from which RIVERS BURST FORTH, - and there are some of them that SPLIT OPEN and water comes out, - and there are some of them that FALL DOWN FOR FEAR OF ALLAH!!!" [Quran - Al-Baqarah - 2:74] Allahuakbar!! Allah has compared mans heart to the hardest of the stones!! So if you wish to soften your heart, Ponder on the following ayat: "And if there was any Quran by which: - the MOUNTAINS would be REMOVED or - the EARTH would be BROKEN APART or - the DEAD would be made to SPEAK, [it would be this Quran], but to Allah belongs the affair entirely!!" [Quran - Ar-Rad - 13:31] SubhanAllah if this Quran can move mountains, tear apart the earth and make the dead speak, just imagine the effect it can have on our HEARTS - no matter how hard or dead we may consider them to be!! May Allah SOFTEN our stone-like HARD hearts from the Power of this Glorious Quran!! May this "heavy kalaam" (Quran 73:5) SPLIT OUR HEARTS OPEN and May RIVERS of tears BURST FORTH from our eyes upon listening and pondering its recitation!! May our hearts FALL DOWN out of Fear of our LORD one day, whenever that appointed moment of departing from this world approaches!! SubhanAllah - Glory be to Allah
