There are a lot of people in America who think we should have government health care, like Great Britain’s National Health Service. There are just as many who recoil at that idea, and recount horror stories about long NHS waiting lists, doctor shortages and badly-run hospitals. But one prominent Briton has another problem with government health care. He says that when everyone knows they can get free health care from the government, it undermines personal responsibility for your health and makes people more likely to adopt lazy, unhealthy lifestyles. And this fellow knows about healthy lifestyles. He’s in pretty amazing shape for a man of 69. That critic of government health care is Roger Daltrey…lead singer of the rock band, the Who. I guess if anyone won’t get fooled again, it’s Roger Daltrey.
