There are reasons such as this article, that cause people to lose trust for media outlets such as the Journal Standard. Do you even care or realize the negative impact that you create based on incomplete information? It is your responsibility as a journalist (Chuck Sweeney) to report the facts, but instead you write an incomplete bias article and sprinkle it with false accusations. This is not true journalism in my opinion. It seems that you would better serve as a writer for the tabloids as your story was successfully saturated with controversy and speculation. Lets look at the facts: You take one side of a story, fail to do a complete and thorough investigation of the facts, somehow carry the confidence to write it and then you are allowed to publish it wide spread. Now heres an agency (Freeport Housing Authority) whose mission and motto has been to help those who its serves and in fact does the same, proof positive and you and whoever conspires with you has the audacity to slander the agency. It is a disrespectful slap in the face. It is shameful and cowardly and needs to be exposed. This is my personal perspective. Please share this article along with my comments to all you know.
