There are so many places we get stuck in our bodies. Who has time to figure out all the parts that are slowly getting hardened into place. Here are some pointers for knowing where to watch out for your key sticky spots and prevent them from calcifying. 1. Know that whichever position you spend the most number of hours in, this is how your body will start to become. This means if you are sitting at a desk for hours, pay close attention to your neck and shoulder positions, your lower back and hips. Do things regularly to keep them Staying free moving. 2. Check that you are breathing consciously throughout the day so you do not get stuck in your chest, lungs and heart. With minimal breathing the ribcage hardens and then it is hard to restore full lung capacity and free movement of the ribcage and upper body. 3. Always include your feet in trying to prevent calcification and hardening in of the body. Because the feet are locked up in shoes so often, they become calcified quite early on. This means all the muscles that end in your feet lose their full function and your calcified locked feet will make you lose range of motion in your legs and hips. 4. According to the yogis, a healthy spine is key to a healthy body and longevity. Take care of your spine. Keep your back flexible, aligned and with as much space between each vertebra as possible. Just remember that you do not have to get stuck in your body and age with restricted movement. We do not have to accept that this is what happens with aging. We can be proactive and keep our bodies moving well at every age.
