There has been a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Austin, TX beginning Friday, January 9, 2015 through Saturday, January 10, 2015. “SURFACE TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE AT OR BELOW FREEZING SATURDAY MORNING. AT THE SAME TIME...THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE APPROACHES THE AREA. ANY PRECIPITATION THAT FALLS WHILE TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW FREEZING WILL BE IN THE FORM OF FREEZING RAIN. HOWEVER...MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR AFTER NOON SATURDAY WHEN TEMPERATURES WILL BE BACK ABOVE FREEZING. BECAUSE OF THIS...ANY FREEZING RAIN AMOUNTS WILL BE LIGHT AND ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE CONFINED TO ELEVATED SURFACES AND PERHAPS OVERPASSES. RESIDENTS SHOULD KEEP UP TO DATE WITH THE LATEST INFORMATION AS ANY DEVIATIONS IN THE FORECASTED TEMPERATURES COULD LEAD TO CHANGES IN THE FORECAST.” accuweather/en/us/austin-tx/78701/weather-warnings-1306704/351193 To reduce the risk of pipes freezing, please help us by taking the following precautions: - Open the cabinets under the sinks in your kitchen and bathrooms to allow heated air to circulate around the water pipes. - Try to confine areas in your home that don’t require heating by closing off rooms that are not in use. - Set your thermostat at a minimum of 65 degrees when you’re gone for the day or will be away for a long time. - Let indoor faucets drip, but do not run a heavy stream of water (it only takes a small drip). - Leave all drains open, including lavatories, sinks and bathtubs. - Please notify the office immediately if you notice anything unusual in or around your apartment home! - Replace your air filter since dirty air filters clog the flow of air and could start a fire. And remember to please be careful of ice on steps, sidewalks, and parking areas. Thank you, Lee Properties Management
