There has been a lot of stuff going on here, what with one thing and another and although Im not monitoring this page all of the time, I have some friends who have been keeping an eye on things on my behalf - however, they dont know all of what has been happening. To put ALL your minds at rest - despite what some folk have been saying we are still very much in business. The new workshop is now functioning as a workshop, its not quite all kitted out but it is usable, please note however that there is ONLY Gary working in there - he is doing long hours to catch up on the handmade muskets. As you know we did get behind with the production of these when Gary was so very ill - he was unable to do any work on them for about 6 months in total. The majority of the hand finished ones - the barrels are at the Proof House - whether you believe that or not is of course your perogative. Although the Proof house give a broad lead time of 20 days please remember they do not work weekends, they finish work at 3pm on a Friday, they close for lunch between 1pm and 2pm every day, when the general public have a bank holiday they close for 2 days not one, in the period between Christmas and New Year they close the day before Christmas Eve and do not reopen until January. So their minimum lead time of 20 days is actually 1 month. Plus if they have a government contract everyone is put to the bottom of the list. We do not do our business through this page - it is only a window to what we do - any posts that appear on the page itself requesting updates or other such business of a specific nature and not in the private messages will be deleted and transferred to our business email address - [email protected] - recently due to the hiccup on outlook Ive been answering some queries through the pms on here and also through our blackberry mobile, That problem has been resolved, but now we are experiencing low signals and the internet goes off for a while, however the Blackberry is picking up a signal so although I may be able to answer you any documents you are waiting for will be late in arriving with you. Our opening times have changed with the new workshop up and running I am no longer always in the office as I now have my own finishing shop and its most likely Ill be down there, there is no phone in the workshops as they are metal and interfere with the hands free handsets . IF you ring please please leave a message on the answer phone - do not presume that you will be the last caller - speak slowly and clearly when you leave your contact number do though keep your message short - we will call you back later. IF you email us and you receive the away message - it doesnt mean that I am being lazy and cant be bothered to answer your email (as one gentleman suggested) - it means just what it says in the message we are either at an event or we are closed.
