There have been some rather alarming images of pop singer Madonna - TopicsExpress

There have been some rather alarming images of pop singer Madonna in the press recently. Obviously, over the years she has attracted her fair share of media attention for her diet and exercise regime. Sharing media images of stars is not what this page is normally about, so please know that I am posting this today for interest, to share, to see what you think and to stimulate thought and conversation. Please dont post derogatory remarks about Madonna personally, whether you like her or not is not my concern...you know, just be respectful. I like her and have nothing mean to say about her. These images however, concern me. In my book The MND Guide to Body Composition (get that here: mothernaturesdiet.me/2013/08/13/the-mnd-guide-to-body-composition-free-ebook/ - and get it now, it wont be available free for much longer) I point out the many GOOD uses for body fat. Body fat stores energy for future use, stores fat-soluble nutrients and hormones and keeps us warm, among other uses. Personally, I genuinely think that it is healthier to pinch an inch, than to be rail thin, 6-pack lean. Now, many of my followers on here are 6-pack lean, and thats great, they look awesome and I am happy for them. However, anecdotally, they often tell me they get to that lean state, then after a few weeks, start to feel tired, weary, lacking strength for their workouts. Its quite hard for most people (depending on genes, upbringing, and various other factors) to stay 6-pack lean all the time. It can drain your energy reserves - well, body fat IS most of your energy reserves, so if they are low, it stands to reason, you may feel it in your energy levels! For me personally, I can pinch an inch - just the one, mind you, this is not an excuse for carrying a spare tyre - and I believe this is part of what keeps me so healthy. I never get sick, never run out of energy, never feel weary, and I work harder and throw more passion into life than anyone else I ever met! Yes, I have to fight my ego all the time...I have days I feel fat, but thats my story! Also, from a purely personal aesthetic point of view, I think Madonna (aged 56) looks dreadful this lean! Its not feminine, and not nice at all - and I dont think she looks healthy. I know looks are not what its all about, Im just saying, I think she looks dreadful! What do you think?
