There is a big push on to get the PUL community to vote and this - TopicsExpress

There is a big push on to get the PUL community to vote and this is a very worthwhile campaign. However one of the most important issues around voting is largely being ignored, that being the GFA. Unlike in previous elections in recent times our community will now have a choice of pro or anti GFA candidates, they are no longer trapped within the boundaries of the DUP and UUP. Some will see this a detrimental others will see it as beneficial but we can all agree that its democracy at work. Jobs, health, education and our economy will all play a part in just how people vote but the fact that we are tribal shouldnt be ignored, yes it does for most people come down to being a Catholic or a Protestant. Not only that but the PUL community are now divided between pro and anti GFA. The last 2 years have saw street protests, hundreds jailed, people injured, IRA killers walking free and an upsurge in republican terrorist activity, little wonder then that many are questioning the GFA. 22nd May will soon be upon us and people can only vote as their conscience allows, they will vote DUP, UUP and vote to carry on as we have done or they will decide upon a new path and perhaps give the UKIP, TUV, PUP or Protestant Coalition a chance to change things more to their liking. One thing is for sure and that is if you dont vote you have no say at all, so if you want things to change or indeed to stay as they are then get registered.
