There is a curvy road that leads to my workplace, quite open on both sides with small shops located distantly from each other on each side. A day before yesterday a car collided with a palm tree standing tall, just adjacent to the road; as it appeared from the accident, the car had tried to overtake from the wrong side and hit the tree on-looking the daily commuters. The car’s bonnet had adapted to the shape of tree’s stem and it took sometime for people to pull out the driver from the crushed box of metal. Next day I saw some people trying to tow away the car, while few others trying to chop off the tree with ax to make sure such incidents do not happen to others. It seems that the driver was either in hurry, as we all usually are for no reasons, or he might be drunk. Whatever is the reason, a car lost its beauty, a man was hurt and a tree lost its life to ignorance and brutality. Let some sense prevail! - Yogi Raj
