There is a lot said about American convenience culture, and how lazy, impatient and superficial that can be - and how much deeper, patient and profound Eastern cultures are. However, Id say that a great deal of bourgeois Turkish culture is equally convenience-orientated (though less greedy). Time, leisure and fun are paramount (generally directed to the males), though the females are quite focussed on their pampering too. Once again, most women I know want to marry in order to give up (external) work and be a housewife - I presume its more convenient
