There is a small child that wanders my neighborhood. he does everything possible,to hide from his mom. the child has been very rude and so angry to be 7. i would say hi to him daily,and all he would say back to me was. you got candy? you got a toy? you got soda. i would say , no,not today . and he would brussel up mad and run away.this went on for about 3 mos. i was writing at my table one sat.morn.i heard a faint knock at my door. opening my door,i saw this small child.he said,mam,what you got? with his lil angry tone. i said today, i have a toy for you. oh so excited his eyes became.he grabbed the toy and ran away. i knew n my heart,this child needed a friend. so for bout 3 wks. i gave him a toy or a small soda or water with a kind word. then he started smiling when walking to school and such. wel one evening as was getting out of my friends car,to go in my home.the child and the mom,were walking down the street.i turned my head to tel my friend bye. all of a sudden,he ran and hugged me tight.
