There is a town in North Ontario, according to young this classic - TopicsExpress

There is a town in North Ontario, according to young this classic line was inspired by his growing up in this region of Ontario Canada. The town he is singing about is Omemee. It is now, 44 years after he penned these lyrics, considered to be Southern Ontario.... Written during Neil Youngs Crazy Horse band years, early 1969, it was recorded and released on the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young album Deja Vu in 1970. Neil Youngs first contribution to this super group he joined. This is considered one of the songs that made the Deja Vu album and it is one of Youngs greatest works. The lyrics themselves invoke my imagination to somehow turn up in a little town in North Ontario.... to rewind into a twilight zone like setting in Neils life... wow... am I the only one who is taken to this little town in Canada when listening to this song?
