There seems to be a recurring theme to this weeks post. It goes something like this: romp in the park, chase ball / birds / furry toys, frolic with other dogs, go home and then have my feet washed and my coat groomed, only for the same process to happen the next day. I am not complaining, as there are few things better in my life than having endless opportunities to do the Doodle Dash in the local park, especially when the fields are so muddy. In fact, the only thing that is anywhere near comparable is an endless supply of pork sausage and liver flavoured treats on demand (if only!!!). Perhaps the most exciting Doodle Dash opportunity occurred on Tuesday when I went on a lunchtime play date with m good friend Bess the Cocker Spaniel. Not sure if you know, my Facebook Friends, but Bess is the reason I now live at Casa Lucys with Davina Benito and John Hayes. They dog sat Bess during the Summer and fell in love with her. That led to them wanting a dog, and before you could say whos a pretty girl, I was being whisked away from my family on the farm in Kent and havent looked back since. I thought I was going to have another play date today with Lola, a Wheaten Terrier owned by Theresa and Paul Stebbing, but they didnt bring her when they came to visit. That didnt matter much, as Paul Stebbing is very entertaining, and was probably as playful, if not more so, than Lola, so indulged in what my parents call MHH (Mad Half Hour) whilst he was here. Basically, it involves me bouncing from one sofa to another, and running up and down like a toddler that has overdosed on sugar and E-numbers. Puppy class was interesting, but I was dog tired this week, and have to say I did not cover myself in glory this time round. I was easily distracted by two new doggies that I had not met previously, Dawkus, a six month old Standard Poodle and Homer, a very grumpy, but ultimately quite sweet Labrador. At one point, I sat down, and couldnt help but drift into a blissful sleep, which did not go down particularly well with Dad. He had to bribe me with lots of treats before I would attempt the next training exercise. Have to say, I was glad when the class was over and we were home and I could chill out at Casa Lucys. Anyway, I have places to go and things to do in readiness for another hectic week of eating, sleeping, playing and generally looking amazing, so thank you very much for reading my post. Ciao for now, love Lucy xxxx
