There was a little red-sandstone Protestant Church in Phibsborough - TopicsExpress

There was a little red-sandstone Protestant Church in Phibsborough which is now a solicitors place. On each side of the doorways into the building are carved human heads. One of these is William Tyndale. Hes a bit grumpy looking as he stares across the road at St Peters catholic church. I tried my best to strike up a conversation with him recently about his beliefs and all he could say say was Its on the Net. Well... says I ...is it any wonder youre so stone faced with an attitude like that. So I just left him alone. William Tyndale (1494–1536) was an English scholar who became a leading figure in Protestant reform in the years leading up to his execution. He is well known for his translation of the Bible into English.
