There would be no need for context and interpretation if the Koran - TopicsExpress

There would be no need for context and interpretation if the Koran wasnt so flawed with contradictions. Having been written by a mere sinful man, and not inspired by God/Allah, you can expect such a thing. A Muslim can always quote to you The Koran says we are to show love and tolerance toward non-believers; yea; some verses do say that; and some also say you are to lie in wait for them and strike them upon the neck until you have inflicted slaughter upon them; you are not to take a non-Muslim as your friend; etc... So many contradictions dictate the need for what is called Law of Abrogation which states, when two Koranic scriptures contradict, the latest written verse trumps the earlier written verse. Some people go so far as to say there are two Korans; the Mecca Koran(parts he wrote while living in Mecca) and the Medina Koran(parts he wrote after moving to Medina); his Medina writings tending to be more violent than his Mecca writings. What I believe somewhat explains this is that Mohammed began writing the Koran in Mecca where he was born, but within 10 years of his cult creation had built a following of violent thugs pushing Mohammeds teachings by violent force upon people(Jihad) and therefore was expelled from the Mecca region by the community(that still embraced the teaching of the Bible at this time; some 600 years after the death of Jesus). His relocation to Medina was not of his own choosing; AND HE WAS PISSED ABOUT IT! So being just a mere mortal sinful man with no deity characteristics; he had a vendetta to pay against those who rejected him and tossed him out on his ass from his birthplace of Mecca; so yes, his Medina writings tended to advocate more chopping off of heads. This also dispels the Muslim appeasers argument that it is us, evil America, that due to our aggression against these peace loving folk, justifiably created Jihadist groups against us. Sorry folks, but we didnt even become a nation until 1776. Jihad began around 620, more than 1000 years before our nation was founded; Jihad is the engine that drives Islam and was created that way from the start. The first Jihad was to run Christianity out of the region of Arabia and forever outlaw its practice there, of which they were successful and have been expanding out from there. It has taken them 1400 years to conquer 26% of the globe; they are patient folk(just like liberal progressives; slowly and methodically advance your Fundamental Transformation). It doesnt matter how long it takes them; Muslims in this generation will do their part(knowing they will not see the dream of an all Muslim world within their lifetime); but they will advance the cause for their future generations until one day their complete Caliphate goal is accomplished.
