Theres nothing like a listener email to begin 2015. I wont copy the entire thing here. Ive taken the best of it and condensed it accordingly. From listener LH. First, KUDOS to whoever put together yesterdays midnight line up. Except for two songs; Shes Come Undone and the Touch You, Feel You song (which is just plain stupid). I gave up listening to KFEG during the day because there was just too much elevator music and stuff my 76 year old parents listen to.. Like Shes Come Undone. If you had the person who did the midnight line up last night, do all your programming, Id go back to listening to your station. And, as a rule of thumb, flutes DO NOT BELONG in ROCK. OK. First things first...the person that programs at midnight is the same that programs during the day. That would be me. So she should be listening all of the time now. Right, LH? Secondarily, Undun by the Guess Who and See Me, Feel Me from the Who are two classic rock staples. I think its safe to say both are in the playbook of a great majority of classic rock stations around the country. As far as the flute comment, the following songs would not be played if we had a no flute rule: Living in the Past Jethro Tull Going up the Country Canned Heat Heard it in a Love song Marshall Tucker Legend of a Mind Moody Blues One night in Bangkok Murray Head Ruby Tuesday Rolling Stones Spill the Wine War Youve got to hide your love away Beatles Moondance Van Morrison Dreamboat Annie Heart Oh Well Fleetwood Mac Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin Im sure there are others.
