These are the steps I drove Vic Millers MG down in 1960. I missed the brake pedal and hit the accelerator and shot down those steps. You can see from the side walls that there is an extended step or landing halfway down. Thats where The Lord showed me the brakes would work if I applied them. We stopped dead cold. Had we not stopped we would have been both dead and cold. It was a two-seater and there were four of us in the car. I think if we had hit the bottom it would have nose-dived on us and flipped over on all of us. Bill Upton and I survive to this day. Nick Lewis died recently and I think Doug Tucker passed away some years ago. Luckily Dougs step-dad was Red Massey and he sent a wrecker to haul the car back up to the parking lot. I never felt it appropriate to tell Vic what happened but he cursed me soundly some weeks later. I think Johann Bleicher told him so he (Johann) could watch us try to kill each other. We were both guilty of trying to kill Johann many times in high school and he was sneakily trying to wreak revenge.
