These are two serious questions that have bugged me for 20 years. I would like to hear intelligent answers from industry folks. I totally admit I am an outsider with zero knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes within the bowling industry, I’m only informed based on what I read and my 25+ years of participation. My questions are: 1. Why does the majority of the industry collectively dismiss the scoring explosion as a huge contributing factor to the demise of bowling? 2. Why does the industry believe that high scores equates greater interest which equates higher revenue? I would like to hear intelligent responses accompanied by compelling factual data to backup the industry’s decision making and philosophy. From a laymen’s point of view, it is clear to me that there is a direct correlation between the demise of bowling and elevation in scoring. It’s too convenient to dismiss it as coincidence
