These past few months, I really do not know why, but certain people or certain events were trying to prove to me that this quote is really true: You can never please everyone, please one and you wont please any... ..Even if you have the best intentions in the world, there will always be people who will complain or who will impute negative things on you, your intentions or your plans. Adding insult to injury, these people would even make judgments without due process. The 1st chapter of their research is already entitled CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS and then they will gather data to prove their conclusions. They will NOT bother to inquire with an open mind first on the background of your plan, your objectives and your methodology. One example: I have read my duties and responsibilities as Department Chairperson several times already, one of the three major sections there is Student Development, the other two are faculty and curriculum development and management. This is the reason why I give my full support to the activities of the academic clubs of the programs that I handle as long as they are in-line with the goal of student development and compliant with the universitys policies and procedures. Since the start of the school year however, nagasugod na ko, for the first time, to question my active involvement in student activities because it seems that for some people, daw wala na ako, ang faculty moderators and ang mga club officers may ginhimo nga intsakto. May kwarta lang nga involved, gamay man or dako, required man or indi required, sala na. Indi na dayon intsakto ang imo intentions, ga abusar ka na dayon. Sometimes, kabudlay na gd intindihon. Haaaaaay, Damn if you do, damn if you dont. Paolo, pray, pray pray so that your cup will not overflow. I will try to draw strength from the hard work and sacrifices of our students/student leaders, past and present, and the support of my colleagues which I have witnessed first hand..
