They said I couldnt do it. That they already had it all figured out, that the road was paved by those above me—dont try to reinvent the wheel they said, we already got it all figured out for you. that there was no way I could improve upon the foundation laid before me. That it was arrogant to presume that I could perfect upon their tried and tested system. They discouraged every suggestion that existed outside of the box. Why cant you just do it the way we tell you to? Our way works. Yet I continued to challenge their sacred cow; I carved out my own path. Yes, I have indeed re-invented the wheel—Now management is testing MY methods for themselves. They are asking ME to teach THEM and others how I do it, the secrets to my success. MY innovations are now adopted by every level agent. It is MY techniques and MY tactics that the entire company has turned to. Tell me again I cannot do something. Please. I derive great pleasure in proving you wrong.
