They say that there are lots of people in Parliament with criminal cases against them. But when you ask them to provide statistics as to the nature of the crime, they have none to provide. 1) Anyone can initiate a criminal case against anyone else - but in a democracy - the charges have to be proved in a court of law. But we could always vote on it on NDTVs online poll - just like any good Khap Panchayat would. 2) Atal Behari Vajpayee - the former Prime Minister of the country has criminal charges against him and was even in judicial custody temporarily. His crime? He dared oppose the Fascist Emergency opposed by Indira Gandhi. What do we know about the criminal charges against the others - and when were they charged? And how is the legal system proceeding on these charges? No answers - only half-truths, and insinuations.
