Things happen sometimes that just make our hearts sing - you know - you get that warm fuzzy feeling when youre overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. We had one of those days last week and have to share. We received an email from Reagan - shes 10 - through a Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper she was introduced to MAF. After hearing our story she decided her family needed to sponsor a child. She talked with her mom but it wasnt something the family could take on at the time - so Reagan said - I got this! And she went to work raising money to be sponsor. Through selling rubber band bracelets on Instagram and at an MJ Show she got a good start. She also landed a modeling job for a childrens clothing company and decided that would also go toward her sponsorship. Last week we talked with Reagan on the phone - she was ready to sponsor - she had raised $1,500 for her first year and already has plans on how shes going make the next years sponsorship funds. As it would happen, last week we had a need arise... so this amazing 10 year old is now our youngest sponsor! She is thrilled to get to know Korrir and will be sending his first letter off this week, which our team will hand deliver - cant wait to see his big smile and share with him Reagans story! Kids helping kids - it doesnt get any better than this!
