Think about the one(s) you love...before its too late. I am watching someone who is dying before me, partly because of a series of neurological events, and mostly because of years of neglect. Her life has become worthless...loveless and empty. It isnt because there arent people around her, there are, all her partners mates Her fridge is empty, her purse is empty, and her heart is broken. She has bad eyes, bad teeth, bad hearing, and no prospect of it changing. She couldnt afford to go to the Dr when she should have. I should have known sooner how bad it was, but I didnt. She is my best friend, my kindred spirit, my family, of over 40 years...and I spoke with her every day and saw her almost as often. We all make our own choices I know, but she deserved better...She gave, and gave until there was nothing left. Her home is a monument, a shrine. Its all about him. The home is witness to what she has become...broken everything. Un-repaired this and un-repaired that. But the fridge is full of his beer. His mates come and some even tell her to harden up but no one noticed her enough to ask questions. Her Invalids benefit was given over to him, for bills. When she received her A.C.C. lump sums most of it went to him to go away with mates, or to pay for urgently needed repairs to the house. She bought hobs for the kitchen, a waste disposal, and all remain uninstalled. She became his trophy and after 25 years of service and devotion she can take no more. Her life has become as worthless as the contents of her purse. She has told me so much...If I had money now I wouldnt know how to spend it. She has no confidence, none at all... She always made excuses for him, because she loved him. Even I made excuses for him, because I knew she loved him. Please, love the one your with, or let them go. Trapping someone is wrong. If you arent capable of loving another human, then get an animal, at least then someone might notice and complain to the authorities...justice might then take its course. It isnt OK to watch, wonder and not ask questions. It is your business, especially when they have told you about it. Humans are social creatures and we need advice support and love. Or we die sooner because of neglect.
