Thinking about football. The first time I started a game we were scrimmaging Hertford my sophomore year first game of the season. I was center. Tom Beatty called 41 on 1, hup, and Lindsey Riddick ran 80 yards for a touchdown right beside me. It was a scrimmage so we started on the 20. Somebody did something wrong and they called the touchdown back and it was second and whatever. Tom Beatty called 42 on two, hup, hup and Lindsey ran 80+ more yards for another touchdown off my other side. We never got to run the reverse and double reverse with Lindsey and Tony Dickerson till the kickoffs in the second game. Between those guys Charlie Moran, Thomas Simpson, and Jimmy Brinson we had a running, blocking backfield. It was the kind of team Carolina had last week. If they touched the ball it scored. Kickoffs, punts, passes it happened so fast scoreboard could not have worked faster.
