Third-generation Coonamble farmer and mining engineer Jeremy - TopicsExpress

Third-generation Coonamble farmer and mining engineer Jeremy Borowski was one of those who came across the ranges to attend the Pilliga protest. Mr Borowski has worked on mines around Australia and in Mongolia. Although recognising his stance might not help his mining career, he believes that too many family farming operations are at stake not to protest. The impacts of conventional mining are relatively well known, and can be managed for, Mr Borowski said. The technologies of unconventional gas are relatively new, and their long-term impacts have yet to be properly assessed, especially in groundwater-dependent regions. queenslandcountrylife.au/news/agriculture/general/news/csg-opposition-growing/2690351.aspx
