It was also only the 2nd to dip below a 4.0 TV rating & saw the WCW return of Dusty Rhodes: – Sting & Lex Luger defeat Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed) – Tom Zenk defeats Bobby Eaton to retain the WCW Television Title (Zenk lost the title on January 7, but the match didn’t air yet, so Zenk was recognized as champion) – The Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin) defeated Tommy Rich & Allen Iron Eagle – Sid Vicious defeated Joey Maggs –Terry Taylor defeated Ricky Morton – Ranger Ross defeated El Cubano – Arn Anderson & Barry Windham defeated Chris & Mark Youngblood – Brian Pillman defeated Buddy Lee Parker – Missy Hyatt defeats Paul E Dangerously in an Arm-Wrestling Match – Ric Flair fought Scott Steiner to a time-limit draw to retain the WCW World Title In 2005, WWE Royal Rumble was held in Fresno, California Sunday Night Heat: – Maven defeated Rhyno PPV: - Edge defeated Shawn Michaels – The Undertaker defeats Heidenreich in a Casket Match – JBL defeats The Big Show & Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat No-DQ Match to retain the WWE Title – Triple H defeats Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Title – Batista wins the Royal Rumble, last eliminating John Cena. Cena & Batista initially eliminated each other at the same time, Vince McMahon came to the ring (tearing both quads in the process) and ordered the two to restart the match, leading to a Batista win In 2011, WWE Royal Rumble was held in Boston, Massachusetts.
