This IS NOT the dinner pick for tonight- we have something delicious planned, but will be dinner for a few for the week. A very generous work colleague had given me beautiful pears this week, and fragrant quinces the week before. She didnt want anything for it but I wanted to do something to say thanks. So this is it! She professes to hate cooking for just herself and her young son, so the pic below is of a simple roasted tomato and garlic pasta sauce, finished off with some basil and spinach leaves. In a nice jar, with a packet of pasta tied on, I hope it says THANK-YOU! I have another tray in, with tomatoes, garlic, red onion and olives; another gift for a dear friend.
