This Thanksgiving has opened my eyes to how blessed I am and how thankful I am. Im thankful for my Mother, for without her I couldnt of made it. I heard her crying for me in the hospital while I laid there. She is the my angel and my rock. Im thankful for my son, It blows my mind how intelligent, responsible, talented and caring he is. Even with seeing his father the way he did in ICU he stayed strong. Im thankful for his mother and everything she has done for myself and my son. Im thankful for my close family and friends. I happen to have a circle of family and friends that I know in my heart are there for me and I for them. Im thankful for my career. I love teaching and being an educator. It gives me an energy that allowed me to be right at school not even 24 hours after being released from the hospital. I am blessed with amazing students and their energy is contagious. I have great administrators, and teachers around me and they showed me so much support when I was in the hospital. Im thankful that even in the short time I have been teaching, I have been able to influence so many young minds, and help push the music program to a higher level and will continue to do so. I am a Ralls Jackrabbit. Most importantly I am thankful for LIFE and that God spared mine. After being on life support, I woke up and looked around and thought about every thing and everyone in my life right now and cried tears of joy. Because after almost losing it all, I realized that I am truly happy. I began to not think about what I wanted, but rather cherished what I have. I reached a moment of clarity when I woke up, a rejuvenated mindset, a new outlook on life and everyday I am thankful. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and may God continue to bless you.
