The cutest little stinker in Braydons class melted my heart this morning. He swiftly swirled from his seated position as he spotted Braydon enter the room and with his arms opened wide, he grabbed Braydon and hugged him for an eternity!! He smiled from ear to ear as he squeezed Braydon. He was so happy to see him after 4 days. I know this little guy is a pill in class, but he could easily be a bully!!! He CHOOSES to be kind to those less fortunate and even helps take care of them. Our greatest fear for Braydon wasnt brain surgery nor facing a life with severe visual & neurological issues. Our fear was how mean other children were going to be toward him. We know all too well how peer mistreatment can kill ones self esteem, make you miserabe, want to kill yourself & have a life-long lasting effect of being self conscious which prevents you from doing things in life that make you feel vulnerable. It can lead to a very restrictive life. Pray for me! I have to help this non-bully make better choices in the classroom because Im going to CRY if hes brought to the principals office. (im the sup & prin) This boy has a heart of gold & ill FOREVER be greatful to this little boy. He may cause his teachers grief, but he is kind to special ed kids. Thank you Jesus for the awesome kiddos at Ryal School. I hope a bully reads this and changes his/her ways. Its never too late to be kind. The little tike I refer to has NO IDEA of the friend he has made in me today. I trust Jesus will make me aware of the times in his life when he needs help and I will be able to help him.
