**** This admonition is first for me and then for those who choose to receive by His love and care **** Just Sharing…a Thought No matter who you are, if you judge anyone, you have no excuse. When you judge another person, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things. We know that God’s judgment is right when He condemns people for doing these things. When you judge people for doing these things but then do them yourself, do you think that you will escape God’s judgment? Do you have contempt for God, Who is very kind to you, puts up with you, and deals patiently with you? Don’t you realize that it is God’s kindness that is trying to lead you to Him and change the way you think and act? Romans 2: 1-4 (God’s Word Translation) (to context “these things” read Romans 1:17-32) I sincerely believe that the Holy Spirit has alerted me to share an admonition of a reality of the state of mind of many of the ‘church’ today. There is a word that seems to fit this admonition, and it is ‘Apathetic’. I guess it could be considered ‘A’ ‘pathetic’ state of mind in some ways. I am being awakened in my spirit, I believe, by His Spirit that there are some of the “Body of Christ”, the ‘Church’ (Ephesians 1:22&23), that are possessing an apathetic state of mind (I search myself). According to the derived meaning and understanding of apathy given in the dictionary, it denotes an ‘absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement’, concerning the fullness of the grace of God, in this case, for others. It gives a further definition as a ‘lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting’, as in working together as a ‘Body’. Yes, I do believe that many in the “Body of Christ” find many God lead realities ‘moving and exciting’ in their spirit and in their faith. I also believe that many have a true “passion, emotion and excitement” for Holy Spirit revealed and lead needs, situations and realities in this life. And even in all this, there seems to exist in the “Body of Christ” many self-realized and self-imposed judgments on many who do not follow or measure up to their idea or rule. Paul said in II Corinthians 10:18, “It isn’t the person who makes his own recommendation who receives approval, but the person whom the Lord recommends”. Paul says that he knew that there was “someone who was saying his letters are powerful and strong, but that he was a weakling and a terrible speaker.” Paul said that, “the person who is saying those things should take note of this fact: When we are with you we will do the things that we wrote about in our letters when we weren’t with you”. (II Corin. 10:10&11) Paul said watch me and see if I don’t ‘walk the talk’ in His strength and in much clarity. Paul said in Ephesians 6:13, “having done all, to stand”, so he stood on his faith. He had previously stated to the Corinthians, who seemed to have many judgments for him and his ministry, but were found judged of God themselves, “With me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yes, I judge not my own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but He that judges me is the Lord”. (I Corin. 4:3&4) In Matthew 7:20 His word reads, “Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them”. In Christ instruction we are taught to be of a discerning spirit in good understanding. Discerning is then recognizing this understanding: Is that which is being proclaimed in word matching an individual’s actions and results? So that Paul has said in I Corin. 4:5, “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, Who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make very well known the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every many have praise of God”, or not, since that which is true and real will be exposed in every case. Paul continued in chapter 4 verse 20, “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power”. We must allow understanding for all members of His Body and have compassion for all those whom God sent His Son to die for, all the “whosoever’s” who have the God given opportunity to “believe in Him” and not “perish but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16) As members of the ‘Body of Christ’, let us desire and choose, to love all those whom God loves, to life and not judge them to death. Bro.
