This article is typical of the slam journalism which I quite often see directed from Right Wing journalists toward the Left - only this time it is the Left slamming the Right - - I work for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and in our UNION CONTRACT the Worker has the RIGHT TO CHOOSE - when working overtime - either to be paid at the time-and-a-half rate OR TO CHOOSE to bank their time - at a rate of 1 1/2 hours banked for every overtime hour worked - to be redeemed at a later time and used as one would use vacation time - - This bill is NOT a slippery slope to anything - - It merely gives the Employee the OPTION - if you need the money take the money - or if you prefer - bank the time now and take an extra long vacation down the road - - Me - I bank my time - - d.e.b.
