This article needs better proofreading, and 18% of people not appearing for their removal hearings strikes me as too high a number to be prefaced by only--but since I am sick of hearing that (1) President Obama is somehow single-handedly responsible for the policy that minor immigrants get sent to Health and Human Services (untrue), and (2) DACA is why children are fleeing their homes for the United States and other less violent countries in the Americas (also untrue), here, have another perspective. One with an anti-GOP bias, yes, but it also contains facts that many members of the GOP are not exactly disseminating or even addressing right now. I feel like we could all fruitfully criticize the president for problems that are actually his fault instead of resorting to misleading or factually inaccurate statements. Especially ones that are unhelpful and will in no way address the migrant children crisis. This PSA is brought to you by the fact that election years make people behave irresponsibly.
